The second edition of Don Pitcher's Moon San Juan Islands, was released in 2005, along with the fifth edition of Compass Guides: Alaska (which Don photographed). A new book photographed by Don, Compass Guides: Alaska's Inside Passage, is now available from bookstores and online sources.

Don recently completed major updates of Moon Wyoming and Moon Yellowstone and Grand Teton. New editions of both books will be released in May 2006. He will be updating Moon Alaska this summer, with the 8th edition scheduled for release in spring of 2007.

Because of other writing and photography commitments (not to mention two young kids), Don will no longer update Moon Washington; future editions will be written by another Moon author with a new edition expected in 2007. The current 2002 version is badly out of date, but remains a useful source for information on Washington.
